Weather
Idaho is known for its cold nights and warm sunny days. Guests can expect the day to start off cold at our HQ while going through the pre-trip orientation, make sure and bring extra layers. As soon as the boats hit the water the temp rockets.

Rapids
The rapids on the Upper Salmon vary significantly with water levels. In June, during spring run-off guest can expect big, powerful Class IV rapids on our High Adventure Trips and fun rolling Class III whitewater on our Family Raft Adventure. July and August Summer water levels offer guests safe and family-friendly class II and III rapids. This section of river is perfect for beginners and new rafters while challenging in your own Inflatable Kayak.

Where do we park/leave our things
There is plenty of secure parking on site at our HQ in Stanley. Valuables can be locked in your vehicles and will be perfectly safe for the duration of your trip. In addition we are more than happy to store anything that you may be extra concerned about in our offices while you are on the river.

Are there bugs?
Thankfully there are very few bugs on our whitewater river trips. The constant moving water does not provide the stagnant water required for mosquito. We agree...AWESOME!!!
